I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor, specializing in mental health and substance abuse . I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Certified Master Life Coach, Therapist, Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) certified with the Department of Transportation, Author, Storyteller. and Community Leader.
As a person in long-term recovery from alcohol, drugs, and mental illness, I have the "lived" experience, skills, and education to help people move away from their stuck points. I want to share the hope that I have with those who are in hopeless situations.
Why JBIRKSconsulting?
In 2008, my servitude began in Addiction Services and Behavioral Health. I've been on this journey of addiction, treatment, and recovery for over 25 years. I have been in long term recovery for 15 years. Consequently, I have overcome major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and drug addiction. My life's calling and purpose is to offer hope and help to those struggling with hurts, habits, and hang-ups. RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE. It is my mission to reduce the stigma attached to mental illness and addiction by changing the language and treating people with dignity and respect.
